For the fifth year running Battle Heritage return for “The Heritage Cup”. It is the largest and longest running full contact medieval fighting tournament in Britain and is bigger and better than ever
The teams from Battle Heritage Britain competed well on the world stage winning Bronze in the latest world championships held this year at Scone Palace in Scotland and you can see them here 
As the Heritage Cup event has grown year on year, the whole day will be taken up with the various disciplines of fighting to entertain the crowds
This year will see women’s duelling in Polearm, Sword & Shield, Long Sword and team fights


10.00 – 12.00   Mens and Womens Duels

12.30 – 13.00   Armour and Weapons Talk

13.30 – 15.30   5 versus 5 Mens Battle

15.30 – 16.00   3 versus 3 Womens Battle

16.00 – 16.30   10 versus 10 Mens Battle

16.30 – 17.00   Awards and Close

You are welcome to bring your own picnic, sample the hog roast or visit Castle Kitchen to sit on the terrace or take away
There will be Have a Go Archery, a Living History Village and a dragon hunt which will take you around the castle into the hidden rooms, tunnels and staircases with a small prize at the end
Leon, our resident archaeologist will be on site to enthuse you with the history of the Castle and Ludlow
