Magical Meeting with Father Christmas at Ludlow Castle:
PLEASE NOTE: on 7-8th December the castle will be closed due to adverse weather forecasts. The event will take place in Castle House, still within the walls of the castle, but in the dry and warm. All visitors booked in on this day have been e-mailed.
- Meet Father Christmas in his cosy grotto within the atmospheric ruins of Ludlow Castle.
- Each session allows children to discuss their Christmas wishes with Father Christmas, and take photos with him (family members can capture the moments). Father Christmas will also present an age-appropriate gift.
- Sleigh Photo Opportunity: You can also take photos in Father Christmas’s sleigh, adding to the festive fun!
- Christmas Tree Trail: A Christmas tree trail is available around the castle (included in the castle admission, and free for those booking to meet Father Christmas). See separate event for more details.

Session Times:
- Available from 10:00 AM to 3:50 PM on all days, except Christmas Eve (until 1:00 PM).
Pricing:
- Children (any age): £8.00 (includes admission to the castle). No discount for child members.
- Adults: £9.00 (normal price of admission to the castle)
- Adult Members: Free admission
- Additional Children (no gift): Purchase a child’s ticket from the general admissions page.
Important Notes:
- Weather: As the castle is a ruin, there is limited covered space for waiting. Please dress warmly and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. There is now a gravel pathway from the entrance all the way to Mortimer’s Tower.
- Access Needs: The event aims to provide a great experience for all families. Please get in touch if you have any access requirements, and the team will work to accommodate you.
