Ludlow Castle welcomes groups and schools.

For groups of more than 10 paying visitors, a discount of 10% on the admission price is available when booking at least 2 weeks in advance and paying in one transaction. The leader of the group also gains free admission.

GUIDED TOURS 

If your group would like a guided tour of the castle, we have two options;

1.Carol Overs can tailor a tour of the history of the castle to your needs, dressing up as ‘Lady Caroline’ for school visits. She can be contacted directly at [email protected] 

2. Leon Bracelin conducts tours based on the archaeology of the castle. He can be contacted directly at [email protected] 

Alternatively, guide books for the castle are available for £3.50 each, or short guides to the castle for 50p each.

PARKING
There is no parking at the castle, but visitors can be dropped off at the top of Mill Street which is about 50 yards from the castle entrance. The coach driver can then park at Smithfield car park – on the corner of Lower Galdeford and Weeping Cross Lane postcode SY8 1RN

Please remember that the castle is a ruin and there is nowhere under cover for school groups to eat their lunches.

From Easter to October some cover is available in the form of marquees without sides, which you are welcome to use.
